I love getting photos from backstage. It can be so beautiful and ephemeral and it’s a view I feel privileged to share in.

I stayed up late last night to watch the lunar eclipse and take some photos.
These all came from a little 5x optical zoom point & shoot so all in all I’m satisfied with the quality. I’ve had some time to learn more about the various settings on the camera and I’ve gotten over my disdain for the digital zoom. They’re clearly better than the photos I took last April.

Discovered Morph Thing today. I remember when this kind of technology took rows upon rows of computers, and when I was a kid a free program that could do rudimentary face morphs was the cutting edge of home image manipulation. Now, it’s a web app.
I’m sitting here in the CAD lab, watching Aloha and working on my portfolio (almost done!) I’ll give a better account of how it went later, but for now enjoy some photos from the show.
