Forlock or Forelock is also slang for a human hair style popular in the 1980s. In the 19th century, it was a common salute where a person saluted another by “tugging the forelock” (see Salute).
“‘Whiskey in the Jar'” is a famous Irish traditional song about a highwayman (usually in the Cork and Kerry mountains), who is betrayed by his wife or lover. One of the most widely performed traditional Irish songs, it is also particularly known through its 1970s chart version by the Irish rock band Thin Lizzy. It is sung with many variants on locations and names; a typical version begins:

‘Andy Goldsworthy’ (born July 26, 1956) is a British sculptor, photographer
and environmentalist living in Scotland who produces site-specific sculpture and
land art situated in natural and urban settings. His art involves the use of
natural and found objects, to create both temporary and permanent sculptures
which draw out the character of their environment.
‘Bubble tea’ also known as boba, is a tea beverage that originated in Taiwan in the 1980s. The balls are often called “pearls,” and are consumed along with the beverage through a wide straw. Bubble tea is especially popular in many East Asian and Southeast Asian regions such as China (including Hong Kong and Macau), Brunei, Malaysia, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and more recently popularized in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
‘Tenacious D’ is an American satirical rock duo formed by musicians and actors
Kyle Gass and Jack Black in Los Angeles, California in 1994. Their music fuses
vulgar absurdist comedy with rock music in a style that critics have described
as “mock rock”.
Tenacious D’s music showcases Black’s theatrical vocals and Gass’ acoustic
guitar playing abilities. Many of their songs discuss the duo’s purported
musical and sexual prowess, as well as their friendship and intake of cannabis.
Their self-titled album features absurd and humorous sketches. Music critics
have compared the storyteller-style lyrics of their songs to lyrics of rock
opera.
The band first gained popularity in 1999 when they starred in the self-titled
[[Tenacious D (TV series)|Tenacious D]], a television series on HBO, in which
Black and Gass attempted to establish themselves as the “Greatest Band on
Earth”. The series airs occasionally on Comedy Central and is
available on their DVD, [[The Complete Masterworks]]. In addition, they have
since recorded two albums, and starred in their own movie, [[Tenacious D in The
Pick of Destiny]].
‘Calculus’ (Latin, calculus, a small stone used for counting) is a branch of
mathematics that includes the study of limits, derivatives, integrals, and
infinite series, and constitutes a major part of modern university education.
Historically, it was sometimes referred to as “the calculus”, but that usage is
seldom seen today.
Calculus has widespread applications in science and engineering and is used to
solve complicated problems for which algebra alone is insufficient. Calculus
builds on algebra, trigonometry, and analytic geometry and includes two major
branches, ‘[[differential calculus]]’ and ‘[[integral calculus]]’, that are
related by the fundamental theorem of calculus. In more advanced mathematics,
calculus is usually called analysis and is defined as the study of functions.
More generally, calculus can refer to any method or system of calculation.
‘Hair of the dog’ is a colloquial English expression predominantly used to refer to ingestion of alcohol as treatment for a hangover. It is occasionally used with respect to dealing with the aftereffects of use of other recreational drugs. It is a shortened form of the expression “the hair of the dog that bit you.”
