So I did the math, and from the time we left on Thursday to visit Michelle, to the time we came back today from visiting Michelle (two separate trips) we averaged ten miles per hour, including all the time we spent sleeping, eating, and visiting. On the upside, the Fit averaged about 39.something miles per gallon, so yay!
But yeah, I’m so over the idea of moving.

Strawberries!
Gillian and Jody and I went picking this morning before the day’s heat rolled in. Unfortunately, the cold summer and the long periods of rain have left for a really lackluster crop. The field looked full of ripe red berries, but up close there was a lot of rotten and split-open fruit. We got there right before opening, and some guy joined us in the fields shortly after we got our start, but he left after a few minutes. The woman in charge of the tent called out, asking if we were doing okay because they guy had left complaining there weren’t any berries out there.
These weren’t great berries, but I doubt that anyone has great berries; not around here anyways. I guess some people are just really picky.
Anyways, got home, washed, made Gill a strawberry milkshake while she got on her first meeting, and spent a few hours hulling berries and freezing in quart bags. We’re foregoing a pie this time so we can have frozen berries over the course of the year.
