30 Days of the Thrilling Adventure Hour, Days Eight and Twenty-three

Day Eight – Sparks Nevada Universe Episodes
Favorite episodes of Sparks Nevada? Well, we have to start with “The Piano has Been Thinking” because I’m a sucker for musical episodes. “Into Darkness” was great for the emotional whiplash at the end. And I really love the “I’m from Earth Day Special” for the cast rendition of the theme song at the end.

Day Twenty-three – Beyond Belief Quotes
* My favorite quotes from Beyond Belief? Well, tops on that list would have to be my userpic text – “Do not make the subtext text! Where were you raised darling?” from A Beyond Belief Valentine’s Day.
* The version that’s on the podcast is different, but I swear that when I saw Prelude to a Fish live at the San Francisco SketchFest that the line went “We’re emotionally invested in their relationship. Ribbit”
* And of course, The Devil You Know gave us several classics:
** “She was the kind of dame they write similes about.”
** “Ah dames. Right dear?”
“They ought to put warning labels on us.”
** “When I was a girl I fell in love with a boy.”
“Ain’t that the way it sometimes goes?”
“Only sometimes.”
“Yes other pairings are available.”
Basically, I could quote the entire episode. All of the episodes with Pterodactyl Jones are just gems.

30 Days of the Thrilling Adventure Hour, Days Seven and Twenty-two

Day Seven – The Stuff
Hmm. Pick one item out of the TAH universe to actually posses? I’m totally going to be the “wishing for more wishes guy” but I’ll pick the Force Galactic (note to non-Adventurekateers, the Force Galactic, despite being a play on the name of the Silver Surfer’s Power Cosmic, is really just the local deus ex machina. Or really, deus ex pincerna.)
If the Force Galactic is cheating, then I pick the gun of Anton Chekhov, werewolf hunter.

Day Twenty-two – Your Monday Ritual
I’ve had a variety of rituals for listening to the show. When I first started I used to listen on my iPod when I was at work. I was still working to catch up to the present when I started listening (with one ear only) on my bike ride. I was just about caught up when I had my bike accident (and was even listening when I flew over the handlebars). At that point the iPod became my constant companion and I started listening to the show over again. Nowadays I tend to listen in the evening, when I’m doing the dishes.
