Hi! First time here? Read on!

Hi!
Welcome!
If you know me in real life I’d be interested in getting back in touch.  Go ahead and leave a comment to this entry and I’ll add you as a friend.  No need to have a LiveJournal account, you can comment using your Facebook, Twitter, or Google account.

If the comment form looks like this just click on ‘Switch’ and select the option that works best for you.

If you see this (or something similar) when you go to leave a comment, click on the dropdown list and pick the best option for you.

If you don’t use Facebook or Twitter or Google you can sign into LiveJournal using an OpenID.
An OpenID allows you to log into LiveJournal and leave comments without needing to create yet another account and having to remember yet another password.  You probably already have an OpenID and don’t even know it – lots of other services across the internet let you use your account with them as an OpenID.  To use it simply select OpenID from the comment form dropdown list and enter your OpenID URL (I’ve listed a bunch of services below for your convenience) where is asks for it.  If you’re already signed into that other service you’ll be presented with a page to authorize your other service to share your identity with LiveJournal.  If you’re not signed in you’ll be presented with the standard login page.  In either case your password for that other service will not be shared with LiveJournal.

I’ve listed the URLs to use for a bunch of common internet services below.

1.  AOL or AOL Intant Messenger:
Enter openid.aol.com/screenname

2.  MySpace
Enter your MySpace profile URL – myspace.com/username

3.  Yahoo or Flickr
Enter yahoo.com.   If this is the first time you’ve used your Yahoo ID on another site you’ll have to agree to some additional Terms of Service first.

4.  Blogger
Enter blogname.blogspot.com

5.  WordPress
Enter blogname.wordpress.com

And if I don’t know you in real life? Go ahead and friend me anyways. I probably won’t friend you back, at least not for a while, but I make public posts often enough that you’ll still be entertained.
