Went to see Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull with Gill and Nicole after work.  Great movie, I’m glad we got to see it in the theatre.  Spoiler-type stuff after the cut.

Towards the end of the movie I could hear Gill’s voice echoing in the back of my head “Of course… aliens!”  It’s her familiar refrain when she’s unimpressed by a particular episode of Doctor Who.  On the way to the car this led to speculation of the existence of Doctor Who/Indiana Jones fanfiction.
As we were sitting there at the end, watching the credits, Nicole was telling us that a friend of hers totally recommended the movie, that it was worth seeing in the big screen, but there were two scenes that he thought were a bit unbelievable.  Any guesses?
The monkeys and the ants.  Somehow those bits were less believable than a) surviving a nuclear blast by hiding inside a refrigerator and b) a giant flying saucer coming out of the ground.

I’m still waiting for my widescreen edition of the “Complete” Indiana Jones collection.  The fullscreen edition that I sold made it to the purchaser on Saturday, so all in all it only cost me seven bucks.
